Buccaneer Flight Simulator

Buccaneer Flightsim photo-s

Buccaneer Flight Simulator – Sit in the cockpit of a real Buccaneer flight simulator and fly the integrated gaming-sim enabling a realistic experience of flying the real aircraft.

Many different types of aircraft and airport locations to select from and a short training session provided by our very own Flightsim Engineer, Frans (Stompie) van Wyk who will also be on hand during your flight time.

The Flightsim Buccaneer is dedicated to SAAF Buccaneer 415 which was piloted by Maj. S. Odendaal with co-pilot Maj. P. Webb which disappeared on16th October 1969 off the coast near Eshowe in Natal during a training exercise.

In February 1973 a small piece of wreckage was washed up which indicated the serial number and the main aircraft wreckage is calculated to be approximately 1200 feet deep and unrecoverable.

Recently, additional wreckage has been trawled up by a fishing trawler and this item consisting of a wheel component will soon be brought to the PE SAAF Museum for permanent display in the Flightsim room.
